How a Modern Commercial Sauna Actually Moves the Needle on Membership Retention

Michael ThorntonAugust 16, 20260

Nobody renews a gym membership because of the dumbbells anymore. I’ve sat through enough club walkthroughs to know that. The rack of 100-pound plates that used to close the deal? Members barely glance at it now. What they’re asking about is recovery — the sauna, the cold plunge, the quiet room where they can decompress […]

Michael ThorntonJune 6, 20260

A doctor’s retirement can change an entire town’s routine. Suddenly, a prescription refill requires a longer drive, a checkup becomes harder to schedule, and families wonder who will handle their next health concern. When I examine Tennessee’s rural doctor shortage and possible solutions, that uncertainty matters as much as the workforce statistics. Communities need dependable […]

I think the hardest farm work sometimes begins after the tractor stops. Bills still need paying, tomorrow’s forecast remains uncertain, and family expectations do not disappear at sunset. Mental health challenges facing Tennessee farmers grow from these overlapping pressures, especially when someone feels responsible for keeping generations of work alive. Understanding that burden means looking […]

Veterans’ access to healthcare in Tennessee: Why Getting Care Can Still Be Hard

Michael ThorntonMay 18, 20260

A medical appointment can occupy an entire day before the examination even begins. I think about the drive, the missed work, and the person who must arrange transportation whenever I consider Veterans’ access to healthcare in Tennessee. 9 Symptoms You Shouldn’t Ignore

Michael ThorntonMay 2, 20260

Our bodies are incredibly adept at sending signals when something is wrong.
